Connor McIlhinney

My name is Connor Mcilhinney. At Johns Creek High School, I have taken action to mold myself into the man that I wish to be. By holding academic positions, pursuing community service, and engaging in extracurricular activities, I have been able to cultivate my skills. I have always had the natural ability to lead.

Throughout my high school career, I have held many important leadership positions. I am the Webmaster of my schools' Beta Club and National Honors Society. I am the Captain of the Varsity soccer team. I am a Board Member on my principal's advisory board. I am the Head of Pep Rallies for Gladiator Army, a school spirit club. I am the Vice President of the Young Men's Service League Johns Creek chapter, an organization that gives young men opportunities to better their community through volunteering. Through Beta Club, National Honors Society, Young Men's Service League, and my school's soccer team, I have demonstrated my ability to lead.

 

During my time in the Student Leadership Johns Creek program, I have exhausted tremendous efforts to better the community around me. Teaming up with other SLJC members, I was able to fundraise $2,000 for the Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation. Our efforts also left the Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation with a working website and Instagram page.

 

In college I plan on majoring in Computer Science, allowing me to once again better my community. This time by providing technology-based solutions for everyday problems.
